This or the Apocalypse has released the official lyric video to their newest single "In Wolves" off their album Dead Years coming out September 25.
The track is the third off the album, which you can now pre-order at iTunes.
The lyric video is unlike any other lyric video I've seen. It is a very creative way to express the emotion of the song and the overall feel of the album. TOTA is trying to go for something different with this album than what they've done in the past. You can read all about that in our exclusive interview here.

Along with the announcement of the album, the band also announced the first single to come from Vainglory called "Cursed." The single will be released this coming Tuesday (August 14).
This album will be one of several coming out on October 9. It seems like the date will debut every new album coming out this fall. The Acacia Strain and August Burns Red are two bands that have announced releases for this date.
Here's an album teaser for Vainglory if you can't wait until "Cursed" coming out this Tuesday!
Christian metal band I, The Breather not only announced that they will be playing on tour with The Word Alive, Norma Jean, Born of Osiris, and Crown The Empire, but they released the official lyric video today (August 10) for their song "Mentalist" off their newest album Truth and Purpose. This or the Apocalypse recently announced the coming of their new album Dead Years for September 25 under eOne Entertainment (North America) and LifeForce Records (Europe) along with the album's cover art. This will be the band's third release. Since the announcement of Dead Years, I had the chance to catch up with lead vocalist and lyricist Rick Armellino to talk about the band's excited and to get a deeper look at what we can expect come September 25.
Steve: What about the album Dead Years do you really like? Rick: I like that the band got to show their voice a little bit more on every instrument. Steve: What do you think the album says about you guys as a band? Rick: It kind of has two faces to it. On one hand its really kind of depressing, and it kind of has this sad melodic sound to it. On the other hand it's very angry. The topics of the songs, some are the most personal we've ever written, indicating certain events between family members or other things that have happened to the band which is kind of a first for us. We've always written about things that were important to us, but I really don't think anybody could have looked at our lyrics and said, "Oh man this is about a very specific event that is being alluded to. I really wanted to change that on this album. On the other hand it's kind of socially conscious, almost political. Steve: What reaction do you expect to get? Rick: I'm not too worried about it, so I'm expecting a good reaction. This is the first album that I really think we went in not caring. Steve: What's the difference between this album and the previous two releases you've put out? Rick: We kind of approached this one in a completely different way. We had recorded some stuff before Monuments, but Monuments kind of had this very young sound to it. We were working with an engineer who it was the first full length he had put out on that level. We were all taking shots in the dark. With Haunt What's Left we worked with a very seasoned producer. Our goal going in to making that album was making something that sounded very real and very raw and sounding like a live band but very well produced. On the new album, it's kind of a mixed bag of a lot of things, but I think that the new album was made keeping it sounding like a good record. Rather than worrying about if it was going to have that live sound to it or anything like that. The new record is heavier, it's got a lot more depth to it, it has a lot of huge reverberated leads and a lot more experimenting on it. Steve: You guys released the artwork as well. It's pretty creative and colorful. Talk about that. Rick: The guy who made it is my best friend. He lives at my house with me. We had just talked about what it is we wanted to do, and he draw this bird with a human skull on it. I was like, "Sol that is awesome," and he was laughing but I was like, "I want to use that for TOTA." That night he ended up staying up all night and just drew the album artwork. It was unbelievable. He pulled out a lot of imagery from very old sci-fy movies. Our goal of the album artwork was to convey panic and a society that is so entrenched in the panic that they are not able to function. There's a sense of worrying, of hurry, of wanting answers and not getting them. Sol did that in an awesome way, and I really like the colors he used. Steve: Why did you want to go with that sort of theme for the artwork? Rick: One of my biggest fears being American is our system of propaganda and our system of mental control. It has really infiltrated every aspect of life. Steve: Straying from the topic of the album, what is it you all like to do for fun? Rick: We all like drinking good beer, and we're all pretty normal guys. We like to go fishing, build stuff, play an occasional video game. We all have girlfriends that are friends so they'll cook for us, and we'll all go out to eat together. We have sort of an American, happy group of friends. Steve: What other bands are you really close with and really enjoy playing with? Rick: Yeah, my friends that are in bands that can put us on tours where we get fed, like August Burns Red, We Came As Romans. No but we've got to tour with the Letlive, those are some of our favorite guys. We've got to tour with No Bragging Rights, they're really close friends of ours, Within the Ruins. I mean there are a lot of bands we've toured with and have become really good friends with. Steve: You mentioned August Burns Red, and they're from the same area as you guys are. Did you all know each other before both bands started? Rick: Yeah, we've all been friends for years. We knew them long before August Burns Red. We all use to go to "steak night" every Monday where everyone would go buy a steak and bring it to the house. The funny thing was, I think the only dudes that actually played at the time were Matt Greiner and Brent [Rambler]. Every now and then they'd go down on the drum kit and Matt would bring his double peddle, and they would jam up for us and we'd all clap and go back upstairs. I remember JB [Brubaker] talking to me and said, "I am thinking about learning guitar," and was like, "I'm thinking about starting a band." Usually when somebody who's like 19 says that they're thinking about learning guitar, you usually don't get somebody who sits down and allots two hours a day and works their ass off. But that's what they did, and out of no where they put out an EP themselves and it's like, "Man, JB's band is pretty good." Then they get signed to Solid State eventually. TOTA has toured with them and it's weird to meet kids with August Burns Red tattoos and be like, "Really? A tattoo of JB's band?" But yeah, they've always been close friends. Steve: You are getting ready to release Dead Years and you've been on the road a bit, but what's next for you guys? Rick: Well we're about to release that album, we have some bonus track stuff that we'll be releasing, we covered one of our favorite songs. I'm not going to say what that song is yet. We want to surprise everybody. We are getting ready for two pretty long tours we just signed up for. We'll also be shooting some music videos at the end of this month for two songs. Not saying what one's yet! Make sure to check out Dead Years hitting stores September 25. In the meantime, here's a little teaser for you all.

I See Stars' music video of "Filth Friends Unite," under Sumerian Records, was released August 4. The song is the tenth track off I See Stars' most recent album Digital Renegade from this past March.
"Filth Friends Unite" is the first song off Digital Renegade to have a music video and is the seventh video the band has put out.
In the music video we see the band use masks and several themes from the movie "V For Vendetta," adding a great deal to the song. Too often we see music videos that are generic or that have nothing to do with the song they were created for. However, in this video, the visual and audio messages accomidate each other in a great way using themes and visual objects from a fantastic movie (in my opinion) to clearly get their message across: the government controlling and abusing their power of our rights.
If you haven't seen the video yet, you can check it out below. One of the top music videos of the year in my opinion.
After the tragic passing of No Use For A Name's Tony Sly, Yellowcard and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low covered "Chasing Rainbows" in order to pay tribute to the late Tony Sly.
Sly passed away tragically yesterday as reported by Fat Wreck Chords at age 41.
You can view the full article of Sly's passing and what NOFX's "Fat Mike" had to say here.
After promotion and teasing its fans, Pierce The Veil has released a preview for their upcoming music video of "King For A Day."
The track is off their most recent album Collide With The Sky, which was released less than a month ago under Fearless Records. In the track, Sleeping With Sirens' Kellin Quinn appears for special guest vocals, something Quinn has done a multiple times recently.
The full music video is due out August 6 and will premier on VEVO.
We're two days away from seeing I See Stars' music video of "Filth Friends Unite," released under Sumerian Records. The music video will be released August 4. The song is the tenth track off I See Stars' most recent album Digital Renegade from this past March.
"Filth Friends Unite" will be the first song off Digital Renegade to have a music video and will be the seventh video the band has put out.

Los Angeles-based hardcore band The Ghost Inside released their third album, Get What You Give, a little over a month ago and is so good that we couldn't help but write a review. The 11-track collection packs a punch and is well worth a listen.
All 11 songs were written by frontman Jonathan Vigil.
1. This Is What I Know About Sacrifice
2. Outlive
3. Engine 45
4. Slipping Away
5. The Great Unknown
6. Dark Horse
7. White Light
8. Thirty Three
9. Face Value
10. Deceiver
11. Test the Limits
The release, which is the first for the group under Epitaph Records, is their best to date in my opinion. The Ghost Inside's first two albums, Fury and the Fallen Ones and Returners, were released under Mediaskare Records. The five-member outfit seems to have found their place on Get What You Give, and the album is solid throughout.
Get What You Give kicks off with the tremendous 1:29 "This Is What I Know About Sacrifice," a killer track that perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the album and should only be listened to at full volume. It's one of those songs that is remarkably easy to repeat three or four times in a row, just because you don't want the raging to stop.
Vigil, like so many of his peers in hardcore music, is an emotional writer who likes to fall back on the same subjects throughout albums/songs. Get What You Give is no different, but Vigil manages to vary his lyrics enough to keep his songs from getting the stale feeling that some artists fall victim to. The majority of songs on Get What You Give are about overcoming struggle and continuing to forge ahead; it is a message that all can benefit from hearing and fits the genre extremely well. Vigil has said several times that he has had to overcome a number of hardships to ascend to where he is now, and it is clear through his lyrics on Get What You Give that he and his bandmates forged ahead and are extremely grateful for the position that they are in now.
"Engine 45"is about overcoming addiction, something that Vigil says everyone can relate to in some way or another. When it comes down to it, that's the crux of Get What You Give: easily relatable songs that you can't help but turn up, head-bang to and play more than once. You can view TGI's music video to "Engine 45" below.
I was lucky enough to catch The Ghost Inside on the Vans Warped Tour this year, and I can say with absolute certainty that the band puts on one of the best live shows that I have ever seen. It was easy to catch Vigil smiling mid song throughout the band's set, overjoyed at the fact that hundreds of kids were in front of him jumping around and yelling lyrics that he wrote. The band played a good mix of songs from all three of their albums, and those from Get What You Give stood out for sure.
I give Get What You Give a 4.8/5. It is a must-download in my opinion. You can get it on iTunes.
The Ghost Inside will be main support for Miss May I on the AP Tour this fall, for which the dates have yet to be announced.
