Yellowcard and Alex Gaskarth Pay Tribute to Tony Sly

After the tragic passing of No Use For A Name's Tony Sly, Yellowcard and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low covered "Chasing Rainbows" in order to pay tribute to the late Tony Sly.

Sly passed away tragically yesterday as reported by  Fat Wreck Chords at age 41.

Pierce The Veil Release Preview for "King For A Day" Music Video

After promotion and teasing its fans, Pierce The Veil has released a preview for their upcoming music video of "King For A Day."

The track is off their most recent album Collide With The Sky, which was released less than a month ago under Fearless Records. In the track, Sleeping With Sirens' Kellin Quinn appears for special guest vocals, something Quinn has done a multiple times recently. 

The full music video is due out August 6 and will premier on VEVO.

Rise Records Signs Further Seems Forever

Rise Records just announced their signing of Pompano Beach indie rock band Further Seems Forever. Rise Records has been teasing as of late about signing a new band, leaving everyone guessing as to who that is. I think that news has just broken through.

When going to Rise's home website, the image above appears, and I think it says it all. We can expect to hear the release of a new album, the first the band will put out since they disbanded in 2006 and got back together. The album will be called Penny Black and will be released October 23, as the fourth studio album for Further Seems Forever.

Up to the point of this posting, no other information has been released.

I See Stars - "Filth Friends Unite" Music Video

We're two days away from seeing I See Stars' music video of "Filth Friends Unite," released under Sumerian Records. The music video will be released August 4. The song is the tenth track off I See Stars' most recent album Digital Renegade from this past March.

"Filth Friends Unite" will be the first song off Digital Renegade to have a music video and will be the seventh video the band has put out.

Come Alive - "Sing With Me" Lyric Video

"Metalstep/Party" group Come Alive is a group from California somewhat new to the music scene and are quickly on their way to hitting it big. The group has a great mixture of dubstep, electica, metal, and rock concepts that create an interesting and fun to listen to combination. Tony Sly of No Use For A Name, Pronounced Dead

We just received word, according to a post from Fat Wreck Chords, that frontman of No Use For A Name, Tony Sly, has passed away. Below is a statement from the company and NOFX's Mike Burkett ("Fat Mike").

"It is with great sorrow that we must say goodbye to Tony Sly of No Use For A Name. We received a call earlier today of his passing, and are devasted. We have lost an incredible talent, friend, and father - one of the true greats. Fat Mike had this to say: 'One of my dearest friends and favorite song writers has gone way too soon. Tony, you will be greatly missed."

As of this posting, no other details of Sly's passing have been announced.
